FAQs

Businesses may utilize transactional SMS services to provide crucial or necessary updates to their consumers about their product or service. For example, on an e-commerce site, updates such as the order invoice number, OTP, delivery status, return or refund status, delivery note, and so on are delivered to consumers via transactional SMS.

A promotional SMS message is one that a company sends to prospects and customers informing them about promotions, discounts, and special deals. Marketers use promotional programs to boost consumer engagement and sales. Pingsparrow allows you to design customized subscription forms, automate SMS sending, and customize messages for improved success.

A two-way SMS service enables users to send and receive SMS messages from a specific number over a web messaging platform by utilizing full solutions or application programming interfaces (APIs). Shortcodes or virtual long numbers are used for two-way communications.

A Flash SMS displays directly on the screen of the recipient’s phone without the user having to take any action rather than being saved on the SIM or memory card,   Dismissed messages are usually removed from the main screen. As a result, neither the recipient nor the message are allocated an SMS inbox on their cell phone to see the message.

According to the Delivery Report, there are a number of different statuses:

Submitted: Short Message Service Center (SMSC) of the Carrier has received your message and is awaiting confirmation of delivery.

Messages Sent/Pending– Messages Sent/Pending are displayed when SMS are forwarded from our operator, but they still require your operator’s permission. Reports will be shown as Pending if the mobile phone is out of network for 4-5 hours or more.

Delivered: A communication is marked as delivered if it has been successfully received by the user.

Expired – The validity time for your message has expired. You’ll get this message if the destination mobile phone is turned off or out-of-range for an extended duration.

Blocked number: SMS will not be sent to a blocked number. The blocked number may be found in the Blacklisted Numbers section of the Phonebook.

Failed: It is possible for a message to fail for several reasons, preventing it from being sent.

Undelivered: This happens when the inactive or unidentified destination mobile numbers cause the carrier’s mobile device memory or inbox to fill up.
