DLT

DLT stands for Distributed Ledger Technology. It is a registration system based on blockchains used for storing and managing sender IDs
and templates.

DLT registration is required for anybody who wishes to deliver promotional bulk SMS or transactional SMS to their clients.

This advanced version of Blockchain called Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) has been introduced by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory
Authority of India).

This move was made by the TRAI to protect clients from Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC), such as scam calls and SMS.
The TRAI anticipates the adoption of a blockchain-based DLT platform to provide better success in the prevention of financial frauds
and spam calls after the failure of the DND registry and present rules. As a result, DLT registration is required by TRAI to continue
providing telecom services.

Steps involved in DLT registration

Step 1

Principal Entity/ Enterprise Registration

This comprises PAN, GST, TAN, CIN, and other KYC (Know Your Customer) documents. The procedure has been created to be simple and quick to complete. Your company will be assigned a unique Entity ID.
